Removing Background From Images
I am finding this too hard, I googled and found some companies that do this sort of thing, has anyone tried them? Is clipping path the same as deepetching. deepetch.com seems to be one good one, I also saw lazymask.com and digital-media-tech.com. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing. My catalog has over 300 images of jewelery and jackets with fur fitted on manequins due in two weeks, all shot on a blue studio background. Do I require alpha channel masking? Can anyone help please

Here's just a little something I threw together after school last night. I'm looking to make it into a splash for a website maybe. I'm thinking about adding some details on the sides. I've been playing around with hieroglyphics a little bit, sort of faded and worn away in some spots, but I need just the right effect of engraved but worn symbols. Or maybe something else, but I'm not sure just yet.
I am trying to put a simple logo on my page, nothing to shout about. I saved the image in my images folder in the cpanel. So when I was doing my HTML, I simply put this:CODE<body><p><img src="images/gamerslogo.gif" alt="The Gamers Attic Logo"></p>My problem is that my image doesn't show up. It shows a box where the logo is supposed to be with an "x" and it says The Gamers Attic Logo. Is it just a problem of my computer not loading
Straight lines on letters, no problem with <polygon>! Graphic Design For Hire? Any Websites Out There?

Right now I'm using Photoshop CS2. It's a really useful program for web layouts. But I found out about GIMP and I've heard that it's a good program as well. I just want to ask which program you think is better for web layouts. Which takes up more hard disk space? Which one is faster.I haven't tried GIMP yet so I'd like to hear your opinions about it. In Photoshop CS2 can you make like a rose crystalized? Is there a way that this can be done? How?
