When I first got PS7, I was blown away by the powerful functionality. But I soon realized that they completely ruined the TGA format. I could no longer use the alpha channel the way I could in all other versions. I was trying to make a selection using the magnetic lasso tool and every time I get about half way done my screen goes blank. I can hit enter and return to the original screen but then ive lost my selection. I have used other tools to make a selection and have not had problems, only with the magnetic lasso tool does this happen. Does anyone have any tips?

cHi, I have a file that is about 125megs, it stopped opening for me. I don't understand why, it's always has opened ever since I created it. Now it freezes my machine, this just started today. I'm running a G4 Dual 1.42mhz os 10.3 and 2gigs of ram. It's the only copy i have, please tell me there's a way to repare it. My Mac keeps telling me to restart every time i try to open it.

I've been using Total Training's Photoshop CS trining (7 DVD's, hosted by Deke McClelland) in order to gain more knowledge about PS:CS, but I've ran into a snafu.I've found that, upon boot, Photoshop takes 7 minutes to load. Can you blend additive textures?
My particle system uses the additive textures but when I go to modify their opacity (fade out over time), they disappear. So that leads me to believe that you can't alpha blend additive textures. Am I correct?

On the previous versions of Photoshop if I used the black pointer tool to drag a selection in the document I was working on it would drag the the selection in the currentley selected layer. Why then in Photoshop CS does it drag whatever image is under your pointer (regardless of the layer). Does anyone know how to get around this. Decent Transparent Images With Photoshop/image Rea
hey, was wondering if anyone here knows how to create decent transparent images with Adobe PS or image ready. So far it looks like I can only make an image that is max. 256 colors and even if I choose that all the colors are changed in my image and it looks "washed out."Also anyone can answer me a question... Isn't it sort of a catch 22 that if you want a transparent image to look decent you have to add a color matte to make it blend into a solid background, so what's the point

I know of 3 Free Graphics Programs. They are Pixia and GIMP and Photo Plus. I used to use Pixia before I got Paint Shop Pro 8. Alright, I've been an avid Photoshop user for quite a while now, basically teaching myself (and so I don't really know everything that there is to know), but I'm quite good w/ effects and everything like that.
